You are about to pay for field service software and the vendor's pricing page shows no price. FieldPulse is that case: it prints no plan names and no dollar figures, so you get a number only after a demo call.
Quick answer
- Book the demo, but bring the eight questions in the table below.
- Ask for the order form before you commit; the default first term is one year.
- Put a calendar reminder 90 days before renewal; notice is due 60 days ahead.
- Ask for every add-on you want as its own priced line.
- Test whether a job keeps its lead source before you pay.
What will my FieldPulse quote depend on?
It depends on seats and add-ons. Both are decided on the call. FieldPulse's pricing page says it "is seat-based and pricing is built around what your team needs." A seat is one user login.
The page lists no plan names, no billing period, no setup fee and no per-seat rate. Its FAQ adds that you buy a set number of seats upfront for your contract term, and the rate depends on what each seat can access.
Bring this table; the middle column is only what FieldPulse's own pages say.
| Ask on the call | What FieldPulse's pages say | Why it moves your bill |
|---|---|---|
| Price per seat, per month | Not stated; rate depends on access | Every office and field user may count |
| Do office staff need seats? | Not stated | Dispatchers and bookkeepers add seats |
| Setup or onboarding fee | Not on the page; terms mention invoicing implementation | Billed with your first invoice |
| Billing: monthly or annual | Not stated on the page; terms mention both | Month-to-month costs more |
| Which add-ons are in the quote | Billing type listed, no figures | Each is its own line |
| Card and bank payment rates | Not published | Paid on every invoice |
| Price after year one | Terms allow increases on 60 days notice | Renewal can cost more |
| Is there a trial | No; a demo instead | You commit before using your own data |
What happens if I want to leave?
You are bound for the term, so read the order form first. The terms of service set an initial term of one year unless your order form says otherwise. The subscription then renews for one year at a time unless you give written notice at least 60 days before the term ends.
These terms apply to every customer, but your order form or a signed agreement wins on price and other commercial terms. Four more lines from the same terms matter to a small shop:
- Fees can rise for a renewal term, with 60 days written notice.
- The fee for the full term is non-cancelable and not refundable if you quit early.
- A user added above your order form is billed for a full year upfront, unless the order form says otherwise.
- Month-to-month billing costs up to 50 percent more than the annual rate, and cancelling takes 30 days written notice.
Which costs sit on top of the seats?
The add-ons do. The pricing page names how each is billed but prints no figure. These are listed as optional:
- Flat monthly fee: Pricebook and Custom Forms.
- Usage-based: Operator AI, Chat AI and FieldPulse Payments, where transaction fees apply.
- Line and license-based: Engage, the built-in phone system.
- Per vehicle or device: Fleet Tracking, with rates that vary by hardware.
- FieldPulse Financing: no FieldPulse fees, but plans and dealer fees vary by provider.
FieldPulse's payments page says customers can pay by card, ACH or Apple Pay. It also lets customers choose ACH or card pricing, so you can recover card fees. It prints no rate, so ask for the card and ACH percentages in writing.
QuickBooks stays a separate bill from Intuit. The QuickBooks Online sync needs your own Essentials, Plus or Advanced plan, and FieldPulse turns it on by request.
In Canada, the help center has a QuickBooks Online page on Canadian dual tax rates (GST and PST). The terms also say customers outside the US, Australia and New Zealand are charged in USD, so a Canadian shop pays in US dollars.
What do FieldPulse reviews tell me?
Less than they seem to. GetApp's Canadian page showed FieldPulse at 4.6 out of 5 from 506 reviews when I checked.
Capterra and G2 blocked my browser, so check them yourself and note the rating, count and date.
Two cautions when you do. Glassdoor reviews of FieldPulse come from employees, so they say nothing about the software from a customer's side. And FieldPulse's own comparison pages, such as its Housecall Pro page, are the vendor's view.
Does FieldPulse keep where each job came from?
It keeps a lead source on each customer. I found no documented path that sends a finished job back to Google Ads or Meta. Google Ads Keyword Planner estimates for the US, October 2026, put the average click for "plumber near me" at $39.45 and "hvac repair near me" at $38.54. Those are national estimates, not what a shop will pay.
I ran Google Ads and Meta Ads from October 2023 to September 2025. Spend is only useful if the job record shows which ad paid off.
Here is what the help center documents:
- A customer record has a Lead Source field, with a list an admin manages in Company Settings.
- The Angi integration creates a customer and a job and sets Lead Source to Angi.
- The Thumbtack integration creates a customer with Lead Source set to Thumbtack, plus a job if you turn that on.
- With Engage, you can tie a lead source to each phone line, so a caller saved from that line gets that source automatically. Engage works in the US and Canada.
- Job reports can be grouped by the customer's lead source.
The source sits on the customer, not on each job, so ask how a repeat customer who returns through a new ad gets credited. The help center lists no Google Local Services Ads integration.
Zapier can reach Google Ads, but the Zapier trigger for a job reaching a status such as Completed sends no invoice amount or lead source. A developer API exists too.
Ten-minute test during the demo, with your own phone:
- Ask the rep to add a lead source called Google Ads.
- Create a customer with that source, then a job and an invoice.
- Run a job report grouped by lead source and find the job.
- If the demo has Engage, call a line tied to a source and check the saved customer.
- Ask whether the invoice amount can leave FieldPulse automatically.
If it cannot, keep the source field and upload closed jobs to Google Ads yourself. Without Engage, a call tracking tool fills the phone gap.
What does a software bill look like per completed job?
Divide the monthly bill by the jobs you finish, then ask how many recovered jobs pay for it. Illustrative: every number below is made up for an imaginary four-technician electrical shop, and none comes from a client.
Say the quote is $600 a month for seats and $150 for add-ons, so $750 a month. The shop completes 150 jobs a month.
- Cost per completed job: $750 divided by 150 jobs is $5.00.
- Average gross profit per job: $250.
- Jobs needed to cover the bill: $750 divided by $250 is 3 jobs.
The formula is monthly bill divided by gross profit per job. If better follow-up and source tracking recover 3 jobs a month, the tool is covered. Swap in your own quote and numbers.
How do FieldPulse, Housecall Pro and Jobber publish price?
FieldPulse is the only one of the three with no printed price. On their own pricing pages, Housecall Pro lists Basic at $59 a month on annual billing ($79 monthly) with one user included. Jobber lists Core at $21 a month for the first 12 months on annual billing, then $29, with one user.
Both publish a price you can plan against. For more, see my Housecall Pro pricing and Jobber pricing posts.

Frequently asked questions
How much does FieldPulse cost per month?
FieldPulse does not print a monthly figure. Its pricing page says pricing is seat-based and the button reads Get a Custom Quote, so the number comes from a demo call. Its own pricing FAQ adds that price estimates on third-party review sites are not verified by FieldPulse.
Is FieldPulse a CRM?
FieldPulse calls itself field service management software on its home page. Its help center has a Customers and CRM section with a Leads and Pipeline area, and a customer record can carry the status Lead or Opportunity. So it tracks leads and a sales pipeline, but it is sold as job software.
Does FieldPulse integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes. The help center has separate guides for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. The Online sync needs your own Essentials, Plus or Advanced plan, and the Desktop sync runs through the QuickBooks Web Connector on a Windows computer. Ask whether the sync is included in your seats.
Does FieldPulse offer a free trial?
No. The FAQ on its pricing page says FieldPulse does not offer a free trial and offers a demo built around your trade and team size instead. Use that demo to watch the lead source and report steps in this post done live.
Will deactivating a technician lower my bill?
Not under the written terms. FieldPulse's terms say the number of allocated or billed seats stays unchanged when users are deactivated or removed. To drop a seat, the terms ask for written notice at least 60 days before the term ends.
