Workiz's pricing page shows no dollar price for any of its three plans today; the last prices it printed, in March 2026, were $229 a month for Standard and $270 for Pro on annual billing, five users included. Its phone system, call tracking included, is sold as a separate add-on, and every plan is an annual contract.
Quick answer
Before you compare Workiz with anything, get one written quote that lists the plan, the number of users, the phone add-on and any other add-on as separate lines, and hold it against the March 2026 prices below. Ask whether the phone system you want is inside the plan or on top of it, because Workiz's page words it two ways. Ask for the renewal date, and put the cancellation deadline, 30 days earlier, in your calendar. Then compare the total against the same line items from Jobber or Housecall Pro.
Do I need Workiz's phone system, or only its job software?
That question decides most of the bill. If new work at your garage door, locksmith, appliance repair or junk removal company starts with a phone call, and the calls go to a separate number that nothing connects to the jobs, the software cannot tell you which ad produced which job.
Workiz's pricing page lists Genius Phone as an add-on with an integrated phone system, call insights, smart messaging, ad tracking, two-way texting, call flows and call masking (call masking keeps a customer's or technician's real number private). It marks the add-on as sold separately and shows no price (Workiz pricing, checked 2026-10-14).
Its FAQ, though, says Workiz "offers for all the plans a built-in phone system", while the comparison table heads the same features "Genius Phone (sold separately)". The March 2026 copy of the page called the phone system an "OPTIONAL but important ADD-ON" (Workiz pricing, archived 2026-03-26, checked 2026-10-14), so the likeliest reading is available on every plan, paid on top. The table also lists a "Local number" on all three plans without saying what it includes, so get both points answered in writing.
What does the phone side actually do with a call?
Workiz's phone feature page says every call is recorded, summarized and searchable, with tags, and that Workiz can track a number "from lead, to job, to repeat customer" (Workiz phone system, checked 2026-10-14).
The help center is more specific. Call tracking "requires you to assign a unique phone number for each of your ad groups" (one for Google, one for Yelp, one for Facebook), and jobs booked, conversion rate and revenue from each number sync to that source in a Call Tracking report; extra numbers are bought in the app through "Get a Number", at a price the article does not give (Workiz help: call tracking, checked 2026-10-14). Ad groups, also called job sources, are picked on each job, and the Jobs, Sales, Leads and Call Tracking reports filter by them (Workiz help: ad groups, checked 2026-10-14).
A number per source matters because a call is the first record of where a customer came from. In my own call-tracking work I set up a separate number per ad source so the source is saved at the moment of the call and not guessed afterward. The articles describe one fixed number per ad group, not per keyword or website visitor, and none says a booked job's value goes back to Google Ads. In the trial, call each number once, book a job from one call and check that the report files it under the right source.
What does Workiz publish, line by line?
Everything below is from Workiz's own pages, checked 2026-10-14; the March 2026 rows come from the archived page linked above, which priced Ultimate as "Let's talk".
| Line item | Published price | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, Pro, Ultimate today | Quote only (Request pricing) | Everyone |
| Standard, March 2026 | $229 a month billed annually or $275 monthly, 5 users; extra user $46 or $55 | A benchmark for your quote |
| Pro, March 2026 | $270 a month billed annually or $325 monthly, 5 users; extra user $54 or $65 | A benchmark for your quote |
| Free trial | 7 days, no credit card | Anyone testing the phone reports first |
| Genius Phone (phone system, ad tracking, call insights, texting) | Quote only, sold separately | Shops that sell mostly by phone |
| Calls and texts beyond the phone plan | Billed on demand, no rate published | Shops with heavy call or text volume |
| Genius Answering (AI answering, 24/7) | Quote only, sold separately | Shops that miss calls after hours |
| Genius Leads and Genius Scheduling | Pro and Ultimate only, price not stated | Shops that want AI help on new leads and booking |
| Service plans (recurring maintenance agreements) | Ultimate only | Shops that sell maintenance contracts |
| Card readers | Sold separately, no price | Shops taking cards in the field |
| Card processing rate | Not on the pricing page | Everyone taking cards |
| Card dispute fee | $25 (US) or $20 (CAD), non-refundable even if you win | Everyone taking cards |
Subscription prices exclude sales tax where applicable (Workiz pricing, checked 2026-10-14). The dispute fee and seat rules come from the Workiz Billing FAQ (checked 2026-10-14): each plan includes a set number of seats, and seats you add stay billed to the end of the contract even if you later remove users.
What does the contract let me do, and what does it lock in?
Workiz's Billing FAQ says all plans are bought on annual contracts, paid monthly or annually, with add-ons billed on the same cadence. The terms, unless the sales order says otherwise, set a 12-month initial term that renews for further 12-month periods if neither side gives written notice at least 30 days before the term ends. A termination notice goes to cancel@workiz.com and takes effect at the end of the term; pre-paid fees are not refunded and everything owed for that term stays due (Workiz terms, checked 2026-10-14).
The same terms call fees non-cancelable and non-refundable, allow no package downgrades on annual billing, and let Workiz raise fees by up to 10% at each anniversary with 30 days' written notice. Automatic top-ups of the phone balance are non-refundable too. The Billing FAQ adds that phone numbers keep billing after you cancel the phone plan until you remove them, and that on-demand phone use shows as "renew calltracking balance" (Workiz help: on-demand phone charges, checked 2026-10-14). Ask to see the sales order before paying, because most of these rules apply "unless" the order says otherwise.
On texts, a Canadian shop sending promotional messages needs the recipient's consent under Canada's anti-spam law. A message that solely confirms a job the customer already agreed to is exempt from consent but still needs sender details and an unsubscribe option (Justice Laws, CASL s. 6, checked 2026-10-14).
Which lead sources does Workiz say it connects to?
Workiz's integrations page names Reserve with Google, Yelp, Thumbtack and Angi Leads as lead sources, plus the SearchKings ad agency, and does not name Google Ads, GA4 or Facebook (Workiz integrations, checked 2026-10-14). A help article adds Google Local Services Ads: customers who find you there land in your Workiz booking portal, which needs a Google Business Profile and the Google Guaranteed badge and is listed for US businesses in named trades (Workiz help: Local Services Ads, checked 2026-10-14). None of these pages says a paid job's value can get back to the ad platform, so ask. Local Services Ads vs Google Ads explains how the two differ.
What would a three-truck garage door company pay in a year?
Illustrative: every number below is made up for an imaginary three-truck garage door company, and none comes from a client. Workiz shows no current prices, so these stand in for quote lines.
The owner receives a quote for the plan at $300 a month on an annual term, the phone add-on at $90 a month, and four tracking numbers (Google ads, Local Services, Yelp, and the website) at $5 each a month.
| Line | Made-up monthly | 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Plan, three trucks | $300 | $3,600 |
| Phone add-on | $90 | $1,080 |
| Four tracking numbers | $20 | $240 |
| Total | $410 | $4,920 |
The formula: (plan + phone add-on + numbers x price each) x 12. The phone side is $1,080 + $240 = $1,320. If the numbers help book 55 jobs in the year, the tracking and phone cost is $1,320 / 55 = $24 per booked job.
Now the trap. If the owner misses the notice date, another 12 months renew with no refund, and with the terms' increase of up to 10% the second year could reach $4,920 x 1.10 = $5,412. Put the cancellation date in the calendar on day one.
How does this compare with Jobber's entry plan?
Jobber's pricing page lists its Core plan at $49 a month with no commitment, $39 with a one-year commitment, or $29 a month billed annually, for one user, with added users at $29 a month each (Jobber pricing, checked 2026-10-14). Workiz's entry plan today, Standard, shows no price; its last published figure was $229 a month billed annually with five users (March 2026). The clearest documented difference is the phone. Workiz lists phone, texting and ad tracking in one add-on, while Jobber's pricing page lists an AI-powered Receptionist add-on but no tracking numbers or call tracking. More on Jobber is in Jobber pricing, and a phone-first view in what a call tracking trial needs to prove.
What should I get in writing before I sign?
- The plan, user count and price per extra user, as separate lines.
- Whether the phone system is in the plan or on the add-on, and what each number and each text costs.
- Whether I get one tracking number per ad source, and which report shows booked jobs by source.
- The card processing rate, the card reader price and any payout fee.
- The renewal date, the notice deadline and the cap on the yearly price increase.
- How my call recordings and data leave Workiz if I cancel.

Frequently asked questions
Does Workiz have a monthly price I can budget with?
Not on its pricing page today: Standard, Pro and Ultimate each show a Request pricing button and no dollar figure. An archived copy of the page from March 2026 listed Standard at $229 a month billed annually ($275 paid monthly) and Pro at $270 ($325 monthly), five users each, so use those as a benchmark for the quote, not as the price. The page still says annual plans can save "$400+", without saying against which plan.
Is the Workiz phone system included in the plan?
Workiz's page words it two ways. Its FAQ says Workiz "offers for all the plans a built-in phone system", while the comparison table heads the phone features "Genius Phone (sold separately)", and the March 2026 version of the page called the phone system an optional add-on. Read together, it is available on every plan and paid on top, so ask for the phone line on your quote as its own item, with the numbers it covers.
Can I leave Workiz after a few months if it does not fit?
Not without paying out the year, unless your sales order says otherwise. Workiz's Billing FAQ says every plan is an annual contract, even when paid monthly, and its terms say a termination takes effect at the end of the 12-month term, with pre-paid fees not refunded and the rest of the term still due. The free 7-day trial, with no credit card, is the cheap way to find out before you sign.
Do I need Pro or Ultimate to get the AI features?
Workiz lists Genius Leads and Genius Scheduling on Pro and Ultimate only, not on Standard. Its call insights come with the Genius Phone add-on, and its AI answering service is a separate add-on again. None of the three add-ons shows a price on the page.
What does a Canadian shop need to watch with Workiz?
Three things in Workiz's terms: fees are stated and paid in US dollars unless the sales order says otherwise, you are responsible for the notices and consents required before calls are recorded or transcribed, and you must work out yourself whether GST/HST applies. Texts that promote your business also fall under Canada's anti-spam law, which is covered below.
