Your Google Business Profile has no Book button, or the button opens a booking page you stopped using. The seven checks below find which side is blocking it, your booking software or your profile.
Reserve with Google is Google's program that lets clients book a provider's open times straight from Search and Maps. Your software must take part, and your details must match what Google holds.

Counting the bookings Google sends
Two routes exist, and they count differently. An integrated provider tags each booking itself, so you read the label in the calendar or report from check 6. A custom link carries no label from the vendor, so the tag on the link is what marks the visit as coming from your profile.
| Route | Where Google's booking shows up | What you read |
|---|---|---|
| Integrated provider | In the booking software, marked as Google | The vendor's source label or report |
| Custom booking link | On your own booking page's visits | The UTM tag in your analytics |
Keep one route per profile where you can. Two routes make the totals hard to compare, because one counts bookings and the other counts visits. If you also run Google Ads, the same tagging idea applies, and salon marketing covers what to track first.

Frequently asked questions
Can a booth renter get the Google Book button?
Not through Square, whose help page says only the owner or tenant of the physical place of business can use Reserve with Google. Booth and room renters do not qualify there. Booksy says its integration is not available for Shared Locations. The Fresha and Vagaro pages say nothing about renters, so ask before you switch anything on.
Can I use my own booking site instead?
Yes. Google lets you add a booking link to your profile with Add link, then Save. The catch is measurement: Google says performance data is not available for custom links, so you count those bookings with a tagged link instead.
Why does a competitor have the Book button and I do not?
Their booking software may be on Google's partner list while yours is not, and check 1 settles that. If yours is listed, look for an unmet rule on your vendor's list. Those rules include an exact name and address match, a published marketplace listing, a bookable staff member and an eligible business type. Checks 1 to 3 cover them.
Can I turn the Google booking button off?
Yes, in the booking software. Square has Deactivate under Reserve with Google, Booksy has Disable Reserve with Google, and Fresha has Disable under Google Reserve. Square and Fresha say the change shows within 48 hours, and Booksy says 24 hours at the earliest. For a link a provider placed on your profile, Google's Remove Provider option gives the provider 5 days to take it down.
