Glofox gives prices only in a quote, and its pricing FAQ promises "your price is locked for life." Its terms let fees rise at each renewal, so the lock counts only if it is in your order form.
Quick answer
- Ask for the full order form before the demo call ends: term, renewal, fees.
- Put the 30-day notice date for your term in your calendar the day you sign.
- Ask who processes cards, at what rate, and who can change that rate.
- Get the off-boarding fee as a number, in writing.
- Ask how a new member's source gets recorded when they buy an intro offer.
What the pricing page shows
Glofox's pricing page names Essential, Boost, Elite and a custom Enterprise plan. It shows no dollar amounts and says plans aren't based on member count. You get a quote.
So every cost is a question for the rep. Boost adds online lead capture forms and e-agreements over Essential. Elite adds advanced app localization and bulk setup for several locations. The branded app is covered below.
Who owns it now
ABC Fitness Solutions announced on August 2, 2022 that it had entered a definitive agreement to acquire Glofox. The post says "the service of current customers will remain the ongoing top priority."
It says nothing about prices, features or contracts, so I wouldn't read a promise into it. The product now carries the ABC name.
Ask the rep one thing: which legal entity is on your order form. The terms I read are issued by Zappy Limited, doing business as Glofox, an Irish company. They put US studios under Texas law with arbitration in Dallas, and studios outside the US, Canada included, under Irish law with arbitration in Dublin.
Arbitration means one private arbitrator in that city decides a dispute, not a court. The decision is binding. The terms still let Glofox go to court to collect unpaid fees.
Clauses that move your money
Most of the contract is one document, Glofox's Terms of Service, effective March 1, 2023. Your term length and fees are not in it; they sit in your order form.
| Clause | What the terms say | Get in writing |
|---|---|---|
| Term and renewal | Auto-renews for successive terms unless you give 30 days' written notice before the current term ends | Term length, the exact end date, how to send notice |
| Price increase | Fees can rise at each renewal with 30 days' written notice | A cap, or a price lock for the first renewal |
| Refunds | Fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable, except where the terms say otherwise | What happens if you stop using it mid-term |
| Onboarding | Initial online training and implementation come standard; extra or on-site training, consulting and custom reports are quoted separately | Hours included, hourly rate after |
| Processing fees | If Stripe raises fees, Glofox can pass them on, with reasonable efforts at 14 days' email notice | Your rate today and who sets it |
| Personal guarantee | Glofox may require an owner or principal to sign one for payment services | Whether your quote requires one |
| Leaving | Reasonable efforts to return data within 60 days, once fees including the off-boarding fee are paid | The off-boarding fee amount and the file format |
The pricing page's FAQ says "your price is locked for life." The terms allow a rise at each renewal, and the order form outranks the terms, so the lock belongs in the order form.
If your order form has no term, the terms treat it as month-to-month. Ask for that as an option and see what it costs.
In Canada, PIPEDA's accountability principle keeps you responsible for member information you transfer to a vendor for processing, so plan for that 60-day window. Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec have their own private-sector laws.
Cards, payouts and the branded app
Glofox's terms say the platform integrates with Stripe and that payment services are provided by Stripe. Glofox may collect its own fees from the money payable to you.
Moving cards into Glofox is documented. Its help center says a move from a standalone Stripe account "can take up to 10 days," and a switch from Mindbody typically takes 4 to 6 weeks. The same article says Mindbody requires 30 days' notice to release card information. Neither article covers cards leaving Glofox, so ask the rep how that works.
On the app: a custom branded member app is an add-on for Essential and Boost and included in Elite. Every plan lists the ABC Glofox mobile app for iOS and Android. Ask what the add-on costs and whether it carries a setup charge.
Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and Zapier: what each records
Sales made online can carry their ad source, once you set it up. Glofox's help center shows how to add a Google Tag Manager ID to its booking widgets and lead capture forms. Tag Manager is Google's free tool for loading tracking code.
Its membership purchase event then carries the UTM source, medium and campaign from the page address. UTM tags are the labels you add to an ad's link, so Google Analytics can tie a web sale to a campaign.
The other two routes come with limits:
- A Zapier connection can create a lead from a Facebook lead ad, but the help center says it is only available on the Elite plan.
- The Meta Pixel setup is "not available on all Glofox packages," and its event list has sign-ups, card details and bookings, but no purchase.
These events fire in the web widgets. Ask how a sale your staff enter at the front desk keeps its lead's source. If you advertise, I'd want an intro offer to carry a source field a person can't skip.
Make the rep prove it during the demo:
- Ask them to open your intro offer page with
?utm_source=test&utm_campaign=introadded to the address. - Have them submit the lead form as a new lead.
- Ask them to open that lead in the software and point to where the source landed.
- If it landed nowhere, ask what you would have to pay for or set up to make it land.
From two years of buying Google and Meta ads, one thing carries over: an ad account learns only from sales it can match to its own ads.
What a switch costs against what it saves
Repeat it with your own member count and price. The input no quote can give you is the share of cards that don't carry over.
Other posts cover the neighbors: Mindbody's pricing, Arketa's quote-only studio plans and the wider gym CRM choice.
Reviews, and two gaps in the table
Trustpilot shows ABC Glofox at 3.5 out of 5 from 399 reviews as of October 25, 2026, with 21 percent at one star.
Two things the table leaves out: which quote lines are add-ons, and what happens to stored cards if you leave. Get both answers in the order form.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Glofox cost per month?
Glofox doesn't say. Its pricing page shows three named plans, Essential, Boost and Elite, plus a custom Enterprise plan, and no dollar amounts. The page says plans are customized to each business and aren't based on member count, so the number comes from your quote and the order form you sign.
How do I cancel ABC Glofox?
Glofox's terms say the agreement renews automatically unless you give 30 days of written notice before the current term ends. The same terms exempt termination notices from the rule that lets other notices go by email. Ask Glofox in writing how it wants the notice sent, and keep proof of delivery.
Do I have to use Glofox's own payment processing?
The public terms don't say so outright. They describe payment services you receive either through Glofox Payments or directly with Stripe, and the help center's payment guide also links a MasterCard Payment Gateway Service for cards. Ask which setup your quote assumes and what rate each one carries.
Is the branded app included in Glofox?
On the pricing page, a custom branded member app in the app store is an optional add-on for Essential and Boost and is included in Elite. Every plan includes the standard ABC Glofox mobile app. Get the add-on's price and any setup charge on the quote.
Is Glofox the same as ABC Glofox?
Yes. ABC Fitness Solutions announced on August 2, 2022 that it had agreed to acquire Glofox, and the product now goes by ABC Glofox. The announcement said service to current customers would remain the top priority. It said nothing about pricing or contracts.
