Jane App's published plans run CAD $59 to $99 a month, plus CAD $17.50 to $40 for each practitioner past the first and any add-ons, all shown in Canadian dollars on the page checked 2026-10-06 with no currency selector visible. Every plan can send booking-site visits to Google Analytics, but sending Google Ads and GA4 each booking with its value takes the top plan, Thrive, and none of it says whether the patient ever walked in.
Quick answer
Jane's three plans, Balance, Practice and Thrive, run CAD $59, $79 and $99 a month; Balance is one practitioner profile capped at 20 appointments a month, while Practice and Thrive include one full-time practitioner and charge CAD $35 or $40 for each additional full-time one, half that for part-time. Add-ons (AI Scribe, group telehealth, insurance billing, payroll, a Jane-built website) each carry their own published price, and card processing through Jane Payments runs 2.5 to 2.85 percent in Canada and the US, plus a per-transaction fee in the US; the rate depends on whether the card is tapped or typed. Sending Google Ads and GA4 each booking with its value comes only with Thrive, through Jane's Google Tag Manager integration. Before signing, count which practitioners book 24 or more hours a week, and confirm what a cancellation and a data export actually look like.
What's in each plan, and what costs extra?
| Plan | Price as published (CAD, checked 2026-10-06) | Who it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Balance | $59/month, one practitioner profile, capped at 20 appointments a month; no extra practitioners | A very part-time or just-starting practice |
| Practice | $79/month with one full-time practitioner; each extra practitioner $35/month full-time or $17.50 part-time; unlimited appointments, free SMS reminders where SMS is available, timesheets | A full-caseload solo practitioner, or a small multi-practitioner clinic |
| Thrive | $99/month with one full-time practitioner; each extra practitioner $40/month full-time or $20 part-time; adds rooms and equipment, patient self check-in, waitlist automation, return visit reminders, packages and memberships, and ratings and reviews | A clinic that wants rebooking tools and the conversion tracking below |
(Source for the three rows above: Jane App pricing, checked 2026-10-06.) Jane counts a practitioner as full-time at 24 or more booked hours a week and part-time below that, lets a clinic adjust the count month to month, and charges nothing for admin staff without bookable hours. Every plan includes a custom-branded online booking site, unlimited locations and the standalone Google Analytics integration.
Add-ons stack on top of the base plan, priced on the same CAD page:
| Add-on | Price as published | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| AI Scribe (unlimited) | $15/month per opted-in practitioner | A practitioner who wants AI-assisted charting beyond the free notes every plan gets |
| Group Telehealth | $15/month per opted-in practitioner | A practitioner running group video sessions of up to 15 people; one-on-one telehealth is in every plan |
| Insurance Billing | $20/month, plus $5 per additional full-time and $2.50 per additional part-time practitioner; Practice and Thrive only | A clinic billing insurers directly |
| Jane Websites | $59/month per clinic | A clinic that wants Jane to build and host its public site |
| Jane Payroll | $40/month plus $6 per active staff member on payroll; Practice and Thrive only | A Canadian clinic running payroll, including CRA remittances, inside Jane |
| Google Tag Manager / GA4 tracking | Included on Thrive (or equivalent legacy plans); not sold separately | A clinic that wants booking data in Google Ads and GA4 |

What does Jane Payments take out of every transaction?
Jane's own payments FAQ states the following rates, and notes they exclude sales tax (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06):
| Country | Card entered online | Card tapped at a terminal |
|---|---|---|
| Canada | 2.75% per transaction | 2.50% per transaction ($0.10 for Interac Debit) |
| United States | 2.85% + $0.25 per transaction | 2.6% + $0.10 per transaction |
| United Kingdom | 1.5% + £0.20 per transaction | 1.5% + £0.20 per transaction |
The rate turns on country and on whether the patient typed a card online or tapped one in the clinic, not on how many practitioners the account has. The same FAQ says Jane Payments has no monthly or annual fee, and that the only in-person hardware it supports is the Jane Payments Terminal, $279 in Canada or $239 in the US plus tax and shipping.
What would a solo practitioner and a six-practitioner clinic actually pay?
Illustrative: both practices below are imaginary, their size and card volumes are made up, and none comes from a client or a Jane customer; the plan, practitioner and card rates are the published ones above.
A solo practitioner on the Practice plan ($79 CAD) who processes CAD $18,000 of card payments online that month pays $18,000 x 2.75% = $495 in processing, for a total of $79 + $495 = $574 that month. Here the processing fee is more than six times the plan price, and a month with more online prepay raises it further.
A six-practitioner clinic on Thrive pays CAD $99 for the first practitioner and Jane's published $40 for each of the other five, assuming all five book 24 or more hours a week: $99 + 5 x $40 = $299. Say the clinic processes CAD $140,000 that month, 70 percent online and 30 percent at the terminal: $98,000 x 2.75% = $2,695 online and $42,000 x 2.50% = $1,050 at the terminal, for $3,745 in processing. Total: $299 + $3,745 = $4,044 for the month, before sales tax and any add-on. The formula to repeat with your own numbers: base plan + extra full-time practitioners x full-time rate + extra part-time practitioners x part-time rate + add-ons + online card volume x online rate + terminal volume x terminal rate.
What should you ask before you sign or switch to Jane?
- Which practitioners will book 24 or more hours a week, and which fewer? Jane prices full-time and part-time licenses differently and adjusts the count month to month.
- What exactly comes over from the current system: charts, upcoming appointments, outstanding balances? Jane's pricing FAQ says imports and migrations carry no extra cost and are booked about 10 days ahead (Jane App pricing, checked 2026-10-06).
- What does canceling look like: the notice period, and how charts and billing history export on the way out? On the same page, Jane's answer to keeping access after canceling is to downgrade to Balance or ask for access for a limited time.
- Can the current card terminal stay? Jane's payments FAQ says no outside card reader connects to Jane, so a payment taken on one has to be recorded in Jane by hand (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06).
- Who will create the Google Ads conversion action set up for server-side tracking that Jane's tracker needs, and who checks that bookings show up in Google Ads within the 24 to 48 hours Jane says the data takes after the tracker is added (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06)?
Can Jane's booking site show which ad brought a paying patient?
Jane's Google Tag Manager integration, listed for Thrive or legacy plans, connects a clinic's Google Ads and Google Analytics accounts to its booking flow and sends Google conversion data for appointment bookings, package purchases and gift card purchases (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06). In GA4 that shows up as ecommerce purchases broken down by treatment, gift card or package, by clinic location, and by traffic source such as Google Ads, organic search, Meta Ads or direct; the guide adds that this includes purchases staff make on the admin side, not only online bookings (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06). In Google Ads it fills an Appointment Booked conversion action (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06). Jane says it strips PHI (protected health information) and PII (personally identifiable information) from patient data before sending it to Google (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06).
The standalone Google Analytics integration on every plan is a different thing: Jane says it shows movement through the booking site without revenue and captures only patients who accepted cookies, while the Tag Manager integration captures conversions regardless of cookie consent (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06). Jane's GA4 guide still notes that in regions requiring cookie consent, some event data depends on the patient consenting first.
Separately, Jane's Reserve with Google feature, available on every plan except Balance and only in Canada and the US, puts a Book Now button on a clinic's Google Business Profile (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06). For it, Jane shares the clinic's name, address, and treatment names, prices and descriptions with Google, and notifies Google of each completed booking with no personal patient information attached (Jane App guide, checked 2026-10-06).
None of that tells an owner whether the booked patient showed up. None of the guides lists an appointment status (arrived, canceled or no-show) among what Jane sends; the data stops at the booking or purchase, so the arrived count has to come from the clinic's own schedule, such as the exportable appointment reports on Jane's plans (Jane App pricing, checked 2026-10-06). For an anonymized NYC medical practice I built a loop that keeps the ad's click id with each appointment and reports the visit to Google Ads only once staff mark the patient arrived.
A patient who books by phone never passes through the booking site, and Jane's guides describe no way for that booking to carry the ad behind the call, even if a purchase the front desk enters later reaches GA4 from the admin side. Google Ads vs GA4 conversions don't match explains why a booking made off the website never becomes a GA4 event of its own and reaches Google Ads only as an upload. Covering phone bookings takes a separate tracking phone number, the kind I've used to tie inbound calls to Google Ads conversions; nothing in Jane's Google guides covers calls.
Where is Jane based, and does that change anything for a clinic?
Jane is headquartered in North Vancouver, BC, Canada, with customers across Canada, the US and the UK (Jane App, checked 2026-10-06). That address doesn't change which privacy law covers the clinic's own patient data. In Canada, PIPEDA covers private-sector organizations handling personal information in commercial activity, Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec have their own substantially similar private-sector laws, and Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador have substantially similar laws for personal health information, Ontario's being PHIPA (Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, checked 2026-10-06). HIPAA is the US rule and does not cover a Canadian clinic's duties.
Patient Scheduling Software: What to Check Before You Buy has the broader pre-purchase checklist, including the business associate agreement a US practice needs from a booking vendor. A massage, chiropractic or physical therapy clinic weighing Jane against its marketing plan can read Massage Therapy Marketing for how to log a source on every booking, whichever scheduling tool takes it.

Frequently asked questions
Who is Jane App built for?
Jane calls itself practice management software for health and wellness clinics, bringing scheduling, charting, billing, payments and patient communication into one system ([Jane App](https://jane.app), checked 2026-10-06). Its smallest plan, Balance, is a single practitioner profile capped at 20 appointments a month, while Practice and Thrive take as many practitioner profiles as a clinic needs ([Jane App pricing](https://jane.app/pricing), checked 2026-10-06).
What does Jane App cost for a solo practitioner versus a six-practitioner clinic?
On the pricing page checked 2026-10-06, Practice costs CAD $79 a month with one full-time practitioner included, and each extra practitioner adds CAD $35 full-time or $17.50 part-time; Thrive costs CAD $99 plus $40 or $20 per extra practitioner ([Jane App pricing](https://jane.app/pricing), checked 2026-10-06). Six full-time practitioners therefore come to CAD $79 + 5 x $35 = $254 a month on Practice, or $99 + 5 x $40 = $299 on Thrive, before add-ons and card processing. Jane counts a practitioner as full-time at 24 or more booked hours a week.
How much does a Jane website cost, and do you need one to use Jane's booking?
Jane Websites, the add-on for building and hosting a clinic's public site inside Jane, costs $59 a month per clinic on the CAD pricing page checked 2026-10-06 ([Jane App pricing](https://jane.app/pricing), checked 2026-10-06). It is optional: every Jane plan includes a custom-branded online booking site, so a clinic can keep its existing website and link to that booking site without paying for Jane Websites.
What percentage do Jane Payments take?
Jane's own guide lists 2.75 percent per online transaction and 2.50 percent per terminal transaction in Canada, 2.85 percent plus $0.25 online and 2.6 percent plus $0.10 at the terminal in the US, and 1.5 percent plus £0.20 either way in the UK, and says the fees do not include federal or provincial sales tax ([Jane App guide](https://jane.app/guide/jane-payments-faq), checked 2026-10-06). The rate depends on the clinic's country and on whether the card is entered online or tapped at a terminal, not on practice size.
Does every Jane plan send booking data to Google Ads?
No. Every plan includes Jane's standalone Google Analytics integration ([Jane App pricing](https://jane.app/pricing), checked 2026-10-06), which Jane says shows how patients move through the booking site without connecting that activity to revenue ([Jane App guide](https://jane.app/guide/google-analytics-integration-vs-google-tag-manager), checked 2026-10-06). The Google Tag Manager integration, which sends Google Ads and GA4 conversion data for bookings, packages and gift cards, is listed for Thrive or legacy plans only ([Jane App guide](https://jane.app/guide/google-tag-manager-hub-58a6619e-c413-4db8-ba29-816862d7827a), checked 2026-10-06). Neither one tells an owner whether the patient showed up.
What Canadian privacy rule applies to a clinic using Jane's booking site?
Jane's North Vancouver headquarters ([Jane App](https://jane.app/contact), checked 2026-10-06) does not decide the clinic's own duties. PIPEDA applies to private-sector organizations that collect, use or disclose personal information in commercial activity; Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec have their own substantially similar private-sector laws, and Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador have substantially similar laws for personal health information, Ontario's being PHIPA ([Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada](https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/privacy-topics/privacy-laws-in-canada/the-personal-information-protection-and-electronic-documents-act-pipeda/pipeda_brief/), checked 2026-10-06). HIPAA is a US law and does not govern a Canadian clinic.
