Momence Pricing: Who Pays What, Fees and Contract Terms

Momence prints no plan price; its pricing page says 'Let's talk pricing.' What its help center says on card fees, fee sharing, contracts and ad tracking.

Momence does not publish its subscription price: its pricing page says "Let's talk pricing" and sends you to sales. What a studio pays is therefore split across a quote you must ask for, card fees you can partly pass to clients, and contract terms you read before signing.

Quick answer

  • The subscription price is unpublished, so the first question in the demo is the monthly number and what it covers.
  • Card payments run through Stripe, and the Momence help pages I read print no rate, only a worked example in which a $60 sale loses $2.64 to the card fee.
  • You can decide how much of the card fee your clients pay, in 5% steps, but one setting covers every customer.
  • Cancellation depends on whether you hold an active contract, which you can find under Billing.
  • Online sales can be tracked with a Meta pixel and GA4, but only with setup, and sales taken in person do not reach either one.

Where is the price, and who pays each line?

Momence's page carries the line "Every business is different" and asks you to describe your business, with no plan or figure (Momence pricing, checked 2026-10-13). The help article "Subscription General FAQ's" that shows up for this search is about the memberships you sell to clients, not what you pay Momence (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). The table below sorts every cost line by who pays it and whether Momence prints a number.

The branded app is the one add-on with a printed price: its help article says it costs "$250 per month on top of your existing Momence subscription" (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). "Not on the pages I read" matters for the rest. The help center is large, and another app's price may sit in a place I did not open. Ask for every add-on in writing.

What do card payments cost, and who is the processor?

Stripe is the payment processor, a third party that takes card payments for the studio, and Momence says you create a new Stripe account through its Settings because an existing one cannot be connected (Momence Stripe FAQ, checked 2026-10-13). That page says fees show in each transaction's details in the Stripe dashboard and names processing fees and international fees, but gives no rates. It also says that in most cases the first payout arrives 7 to 14 days after you start taking payments.

The only worked example with dollar figures is in the payments FAQ: a $60 sale nets $57.36 after the card fee, so $2.64 goes to the card fee, and the example assumes the studio absorbs it (Momence payments FAQ, checked 2026-10-13). I take that as an illustration, not a rate, because the page never says it is your rate. Ask Momence which processing rate applies to your account, in writing.

Can clients pay part of the card fee?

Yes. A help article describes a slider in Settings, under Info, that sets the share of card and direct debit fees customers pay, in 5% steps (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). Before it existed, the only choices were that customers paid all of the fees or none.

The limit is that the setting is global. Momence's payment settings FAQ for memberships says the slider "applies to all customers uniformly," and suggests a discount, a credit or a payment outside the system for exceptions (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). Neither page says how the share shows on the checkout screen, so run a test purchase before you tell clients about it. Before you pass card costs on, check your state or province's rules and your card networks' rules on surcharges; I am not a lawyer.

Does the ClassPass or Wellhub connection add a charge?

Momence's help center has articles on ClassPass, Wellhub, Urban Sports Club and MyClubs under its integrations (Momence help center, checked 2026-10-13). The ClassPass FAQ covers how bookings behave: a ClassPass booking cancelled in Momence also shows as cancelled in ClassPass, and because ClassPass cannot take several Momence location IDs, Momence merges them into one (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). It says nothing about fees or payouts, and those sit in the aggregator's own terms, which what ClassPass's partner terms say about getting paid and leaving walks through.

What does a month of sales look like with the fees applied?

Illustrative: every number below is made up for an imaginary two-room pilates studio, and none comes from a client or from Momence.

The studio sells 40 memberships at $150, 25 class packs at $120 and 60 drop-ins at $30, so 125 transactions and $10,800 of sales. Assume an invented card fee of 3% plus $0.30 per transaction, worked out on the sale price alone for simplicity. The studio moves the slider to 50%.

LineWorkingAmount
Sales6,000 + 3,000 + 1,800$10,800.00
Total card fees3% x 10,800 = 324.00, plus 125 x 0.30 = 37.50$361.50
Paid by clients50% x 361.50$180.75
Paid by the studio361.50 - 180.75$180.75
Momence subscriptionUnpublished: placeholder SS
Left before S10,800 - 180.75$10,619.25

The formula to repeat: money left = sales - (1 - client share) x (rate x sales + fixed fee x transactions) - S. Put in your own sales, your quoted rate and the quote for S. Then subtract each refund at its full sale price and leave its card fee in, since in Momence's example the fee is not returned.

What happens if you want to leave?

Momence's billing article says to click your logo, open Billing, and find your contract with the billing history underneath (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). With no active contract, Settings has a red "Cancel my account" button and changes apply at once. With an active contract, you can request cancellation only after the date in its terms, and an app's Deactivate button may stay hidden until its contract months run out. The page states no notice period, so ask for one in the contract.

Your members' side is separate. Customers can cancel their own memberships unless tied to a contract, and a studio can switch that off in its membership settings (Momence, checked 2026-10-13).

Can Momence show which ad brought a paying client?

Partly, and most directly for Facebook and Instagram ads. Momence's Ads Manager builds those campaigns inside Momence, and its guide describes an ROI calculator that compares what an ad cost with the revenue from customers who came in from it (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). For ads you run elsewhere, the help center describes setup steps you do yourself.

The Meta pixel (Meta's tracking code) follows ad visits and purchases on Momence checkout pages once you paste its ID into Settings, and you also add the pixel code to your own site header (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). The article is silent on consent banners and says to leave the Conversions API Gateway demo off for now. The Conversions API sends events from a server rather than from the visitor's browser.

For Google Analytics 4 (GA4, Google's free analytics), Momence works through Google Tag Manager (GTM, Google's free tool for adding tracking code). Its FAQ lists a "purchase" event with value, items and currency, and warns that without cross-domain settings for momence.com (settings that tell GA4 your site and Momence's checkout are one visit), purchases may not appear (Momence, checked 2026-10-13). A separate article explains that plugin bookings sit in an iframe (a Momence window inside your page) that prevents tracking, so Momence offers a redirect to your own thank-you page for classes, appointments, subscriptions and packages, but not for products or on-demand content (Momence, checked 2026-10-13).

I found no Momence article on Google Ads conversions or UTM tags (labels added to ad links) among the ones I read. An in-person sale after a trial class never reaches the pixel or GA4, and counting which channel brings intro buyers who stay covers that gap. Studios in Canada that email or text leads from Momence fall under CASL, Canada's anti-spam law, which bans a commercial message without the recipient's express or implied consent (Justice Laws, CASL s. 6, checked 2026-10-13).

How do Arketa and WellnessLiving print their numbers?

Arketa prints $49 a month for its Individual plan, billed annually, with a 3% transaction fee plus Stripe fees, and its three studio tiers say "Custom" (Arketa pricing, checked 2026-10-13). WellnessLiving prints $69 a month for Starter with one staff member, lists Business at $199 and BusinessPro at $349 a month on monthly billing, cut to $39 and $69 for two months under an 80% offer that expires October 16, 2026, and lists Enterprise as "Call us" (WellnessLiving pricing, checked 2026-10-13). For the wider set, see studio software by the jobs it does.

What should you ask in the demo?

  • The monthly subscription in dollars, what it includes, and what it becomes after any discount ends.
  • The exact card rate and fixed fee on your account, plus fees for international cards.
  • The price of every paid app, whether the branded app is still $250 a month, and each one's contract length.
  • Whether your contract has a minimum term, a notice period and a price-change clause.
  • How the fee-sharing slider appears at checkout, and a test purchase to see it.
  • Which of your sales types fire a purchase event, and whether tracking works with your consent banner.

Frequently asked questions

Does Momence list its plans and prices anywhere?

Not its plans. Its pricing page shows a heading, 'Let's talk pricing,' and a sales invitation, with no plan names or dollar amounts. The one price I found is in the help center: a branded app costs $250 a month on top of the subscription. The subscription itself is whatever sales quotes you.

If a client's card is refunded, does the studio get the processing fee back?

Not according to Momence's help center. Its payments FAQ works through a $60 sale for a studio that absorbs the card fee and says the studio does not get the $2.64 fee back whether the sale is voided or refunded. Count the fee as a cost on every refund you give.

Can I make clients cover the card fee?

Yes, in part. A Momence help article describes a slider in Settings that sets how much of the card and direct debit fees customers pay, in 5% steps. Another article says the slider applies to all customers uniformly, so you cannot give one client a different share.

Can I leave Momence whenever I want?

It depends on your contract. Momence's help center says an account with no active contract can be cancelled from Settings, while one with an active contract can request cancellation only after the date in its terms. Read the contract under Billing before you sign, since the help page states no notice period.

Will Momence show which ad produced a paying member?

Partly. For Facebook and Instagram ads built in its Ads Manager, Momence's help center describes an ROI report that sets an ad's spend against revenue from the customers it brought. For other ads you set up a Meta pixel or Google Analytics 4 yourself, and only online checkout sales are counted. I found no Momence article about sending a sale to Google Ads.
