Houzz Pro's software runs $99 a month for Design and $199 for Pro on Houzz's own pricing page, each for one user with extra seats at $50, while Teams starts at $399 and the advertising package starts at $499, both printed only as starting prices. Houzz's own help center says most of its plans are annual 12-month contracts that renew unless you ask, at least 30 days before the renewal date, for them not to.
Quick answer
- Software: $99 (Design) or $199 (Pro) a month, published, one user each, $50 for every added seat; Teams and the advertising package are both "starting at" figures, quoted further once you talk to sales.
- Houzz describes its advertising as a flat rate, not a charge per lead; the pricing page prints only the $499 a month starting point.
- Most plans run an annual 12-month contract that auto-renews and cannot be cancelled early; ask not to renew at least 30 days ahead, and if the 30-day free trial lapses by mistake, cancelling within 7 days after it ends costs one month.
- Nothing in Houzz's own reporting confirms a lead signed and paid; that comes from your job file, with every Houzz lead carrying its own source tag.
- Work out the signed jobs an ad package needs to break even before you add one. Use your own profit per job, not Houzz's lead count.
What does Houzz Pro's software plan include, and what does it cost?
Houzz's pricing page lists four software tiers, with the advertising package offered as an add-on.
| Plan | Price (published) | Users included | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | No charge | Not stated | 3D floor planner, estimates, invoicing |
| Design | $99/month | 1, extra seats $50/month | 3D floor plans, selections, product clipper and library, mood boards, CRM, estimates and proposals, invoices, online payments |
| Pro | $199/month | 1, extra seats $50/month | Everything in Design, plus takeoffs, bid management, change orders, budget management, contracts, project schedule, daily logs, a Gusto payroll integration in beta |
| Teams | Starting at $399/month | Unlimited | Everything in Pro, plus AI note-taking, a premium profile, email marketing, a custom website, a front desk and verified caller (both beta), dedicated support |
(Houzz Pro pricing, checked 2026-10-07)
Takeoffs (measuring a job from plans to price materials) and bid management are the jump from Design to Pro; Teams is the jump to marketing tools: email marketing, a premium profile and a custom website. A firm emailing Canadian homeowners from it follows CASL, the federal law requiring consent before a commercial electronic message goes out, rather than the US CAN-SPAM Act (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, checked 2026-10-07).
How is the advertising package priced, apart from the software?
Houzz's construction-leads page states its position plainly: "Unlike other construction leads services, Houzz Pro offers a flat rate instead of making you pay per lead" (Houzz Pro, checked 2026-10-07). The same page describes matching on "projects that align with your specialty, locations that are convenient and budgets that align with your goals," plus phone introductions it calls Live Connections and booked video consultations.
That billing shape sets Houzz apart from the two marketplaces most often named beside it. Angi Leads charges per lead received, won or not, and Thumbtack charges when a matching customer contacts a pro, at a price the pro sets. A flat rate means the bill stays the same whether a month brings few leads or many, which moves the risk to you: a slow month still costs the agreed rate, and the pricing page states no refund or credit for one.
What exactly is on the contract?
| What you're buying | How Houzz prices it | Contract terms as published |
|---|---|---|
| Design, Pro or Teams software | A printed monthly rate per the table above; Teams from $399, final figure from sales | Most plans are annual 12-month contracts that auto-renew; no early cancellation |
| Extra software seats | $50 a user a month, Design and Pro only | Not stated separately; ask whether seats added mid-term end with the base plan |
| Advertising package | A flat rate, not per lead, starting at $499 a month; your figure comes from Houzz sales | Set in the Pro Services Agreement you sign, which covers the cost, term and cancellation of "your software and/or advertising plan" |
| 30-day trial | Free | Cancel during the trial and the annual subscription never begins; miss it, and cancelling within 7 days after it ends costs one month, not the rest of the year |
(Houzz Pro pricing, checked 2026-10-07; Houzz Pro, checked 2026-10-07)
A do-not-renew request is due at least 30 days before the renewal date, and it does not end the current term: Houzz's help article says you still complete the rest of the 12-month contract, and that most plans cannot be cancelled early at all. In the app, both a trial cancellation and a do-not-renew request run through Settings, then Subscriptions, then Manage My Subscriptions, then Submit Request; the article also offers a cancellation request form or your Customer Success Manager, if you have one. Your own price and term sit in the Pro Services Agreement Houzz emails when you sign up, so keep that email.
What does Houzz Pro's own dashboard tell you, and what can't it?
Lead Insights, Houzz's built-in reporting, lists Total Leads, Leads Won, Estimated Revenue and Estimated Profit, plus conversion funnels by lead stage, by top 10 lead sources and by team member, over the last 1, 3, 6 or 12 months or a custom range (Houzz Pro, checked 2026-10-07). A lead counts as won when a pro opens it and clicks Convert to Project, and the revenue and profit figures are estimates the pro types in, so the dashboard counts those clicks, not signed contracts or cleared deposits.
That gap matters because nothing on Houzz Pro's integrations page closes it automatically: the page names QuickBooks Online, GreenSky financing, Gusto, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive and Zapier (Houzz Pro, checked 2026-10-07), with no Google Ads or GA4 connection among them, so a signed Houzz job never reaches either one as a conversion by itself. A Zapier bridge built to do that is something to test against your own accounts, not assume works out of the box.
How do you give a Houzz lead a source your job file can check?
Houzz Pro's lead management help page says a lead from a Houzz inquiry is created automatically, while a lead "from a different website, word of mouth, or any other source" gets added by hand, and that either kind can be tagged with "an extended list of standard lead sources" or a custom one typed in under Manage Lead Sources (Houzz Pro, checked 2026-10-07). Use that field to split Houzz-sourced leads from referrals and from your own site, instead of letting "Houzz" cover all three.
A dedicated phone number used only on the Houzz profile, separate from the one on your own website or a yard sign, settles which calls actually came through Houzz; CallRail, a call tracking tool I have worked with, gives each source its own number and logs every call against it. Field service and CRM software built to hold a required source field does the same job on the office side, and tracking a remodeling pipeline from inquiry to signed contract covers why the count waits for the signature, not the first inquiry.
Is Houzz Pro worth it for your numbers?
Illustrative: this design-build remodeler is imaginary, and apart from the Houzz prices quoted above, every figure in this section is one I made up for the math, not one taken from any client's books.
Say a one-person design-build firm runs the Pro plan with one extra seat, $199 plus $50 a month, $2,988 a year, and adds the advertising package at its published floor of $499 a month, $5,988 a year. The number that matters is not the $8,976 combined total; it is whether the $5,988 ad line pays for itself, since the software line would likely run with or without ads.
Break-even signed jobs from Houzz leads = ad cost for the year ÷ average gross profit per signed job (the job's price minus its materials, subcontractors and crew labor). At $5,200 of gross profit per signed remodel, the owner's own number, not Houzz's, $5,988 ÷ $5,200 = 1.15, so two signed jobs a year clear the ad line.
Houzz's own Lead Insights showed 54 total leads from Houzz over the year and marked 9 of them Leads Won. The firm's job file, where every Houzz lead carries its own source tag apart from referrals, showed only 3 of those actually signed a contract and paid a deposit: 3 × $5,200 = $15,600 against the $5,988 ad line leaves $9,612. Had the job file agreed with Houzz's own count of 9 won, the same math would clear $40,812 instead. The gap between 3 and 9 is exactly why the job file, not the dashboard, decides whether the ad package stays at renewal.
The Google Ads and Meta Ads budgets I managed in the October 2023 to September 2025 stretch came to nearly $700K, and not a dollar of it went to Houzz. The lesson still carries over: a platform's own lead count is the most it can claim, and the signed, paid job in your records is what decides the renewal.
What's worth confirming before the next renewal?
- Which plan, Design, Pro or Teams, am I being quoted, and does the quoted price assume monthly or annual billing?
- For the advertising package, what is the flat rate for the specific areas and project categories I would target, not the published floor?
- Can I read the Pro Services Agreement before I sign, and does its 12-month term apply the same way to the software and to the advertising package, or do they renew on different dates?
- What happens to the advertising rate if I need to narrow or widen my target areas mid-contract?
- Can Lead Insights export every lead with its source, date and Leads Won status, so I can check it line by line against my job file rather than retype it?

Frequently asked questions
How much does Houzz Pro cost each month?
Houzz's own pricing page prints $99 a month for its Design plan and $199 for Pro, each for one user with extra seats at $50 a month, and lists Teams starting at $399 and its advertising package starting at $499, both printed only as starting prices ([Houzz Pro pricing](https://www.houzz.com/houzz-pro/pricing), checked 2026-10-07). A free plan covers a 3D floor planner, estimates and invoicing with no monthly fee.
Is Houzz Pro worth it for a remodeler or designer?
It is worth it when the signed, paid jobs a tagged Houzz lead produces clear what the software and any advertising package cost that year, measured against your own gross profit per job, not Houzz's own lead counts. Houzz's Lead Insights counts a lead as won once a pro converts it to a project by hand, so hold that count against your job file before trusting it ([Houzz Pro](https://pro.houzz.com/pro-help/r/how-to-view-and-analyze-your-lead-insights), checked 2026-10-07).
What is the difference between Houzz and Houzz Pro?
Houzz's own page describes Houzz as a free resource that helps anyone find home renovation inspiration and hire professionals, and Houzz Pro as all-in-one business management and marketing software for home industry professionals ([Houzz Pro](https://pro.houzz.com/for-pros/difference-between-houzz-and-houzz-pro), checked 2026-10-07). Every price in this post is a Houzz Pro price, paid by the professional.
Does Houzz Pro charge per lead for its advertising?
No, by Houzz's own description: its construction-leads page says Houzz Pro offers a flat rate instead of charging per lead, matched to the areas and project types a pro chooses ([Houzz Pro](https://pro.houzz.com/for-pros/software-construction-leads), checked 2026-10-07). That differs from marketplaces billed by the lead, such as [Angi Leads](/blog/is-angi-worth-it) or [Thumbtack](/blog/is-thumbtack-worth-it).
Can I cancel my Houzz Pro subscription early?
Usually not. Houzz's own help center says most of its plans are annual 12-month contracts, so you will not be able to cancel early, and it points contract concerns to your Customer Success Manager or support ([Houzz Pro](https://pro.houzz.com/pro-help/r/how-to-cancel-your-houzz-pro-subscription), checked 2026-10-07). If you forgot to cancel the free trial, cancelling within 7 days after it ends costs one month instead of the rest of the year, and a request not to auto-renew is due at least 30 days before the renewal date.
